I have lived in the Rogers City area for many years. I chose to come to MediLodge of Rogers City so it would be easy for family and friends to visit. More importantly, many of my friends said good things about the service and staff from when they had stayed at MediLodge.
The food service, the therapy team, the nursing care team, and the individual one on one care has been exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was treated as an individual and like I mattered to each staff member. I have always appreciated anyone who goes above and beyond and every person that walks into my room does just that. The activities department put on an amazing Veteran’s Day service just after I arrived. I was included and was so touched by the flag folding ceremony and the playing of Taps - it was just great!
Every person who helped me tend to my personal needs and to reach my therapy goals has been outstanding. I thank them from the bottom of my heart. There are too many great people to name and I don’t want anyone to feel slighted because EVERYONE has been wonderful! I do not have one complaint about my stay at MediLodge.
As a team sports player, I believe everyone at MediLodge of Rogers City deserves an “Atta boy!” for a job well done!
I never thought, in my entire life, that I'd think of "visiting a nursing home," as the highlight of my day. I've come to know many of the people there, residents and staff and I can honestly say that I rarely leave without a lifted spirit and a joy that isn't found anywhere else.
Last night, I visited my mom and on my way in and out (as usual) I stopped to speak/visit with several of the beautiful souls there. Including, (I'll call her) "Jenny." (Let me tell you that in the hundreds of times I've been there, I've never seen anyone come to visit "Jenny." Not once.)
Anyway, I noticed her in the hall sitting alone, and she called to me as I passed, as she often does. I turned around and went back to chat with her. (I call her "Sunshine") She wanted to know where I was going. 😌 I told her that I had just stopped to see my mom and she (Jenny) started to sing softly to me, smiling from ear to ear. I quickly looked around for the radio and not seeing it; I told her, "We need some music! And when I come back, we're gonna DANCE!" She's not able to walk, and it's quite obvious the years haven't been so kind to her. But, when I said that we'd dance, her eyes LIT UP with pure joy. ☀️ How I wish you could have seen them. I wish her FAMILY would have seen her face...that beautiful face.
So, that's my story. It's that simple. That's where you'll find true and unadulterated joy. Grace. In the "serving." In the forgotten ones. I'll never forget it. 💝
I heard of other people who came here and they had great experiences. I relied on what they told me. All CNAs have been great to talk with. Therapy has also been quite pleasant to communicate with.
Staff has always been very helpful and great and treat my guests with the utmost respect.
I chose Medilodge of Rogers City to be closer to my family. I was a previous patient, and I remember them treating me very well. Staff is always polite and there to help you. Donna Thompson, CENA and Sue Z, LPN were great. I would certainly choose Medilodge of Rogers City again.
I had been here before and knew it was a good place, so I chose to come here after my recent car accident. All management and floor staff are outstanding. The center is always so clean and the therapy team is very caring. If possible, this team will work hard with you to ensure you make it home, meeting all goals.

I have come so far from the beginning. From my very first day until my very last day. Physical therapy has helped me in so many ways, they helped my tremors get so much better compared to before. Whereas before I couldn’t even hold my head up now I can. I can walk, eat, and talk so much better on my own. I can now better communicate with other people. The nurses have been very professional and kind hearted at all times. The administrative personnel has also been very helpful and kind to me. I have grown very close to everyone and I will truly miss a lot of the people here. The nurses’ aides have been helpful and I am glad to have had the opportunity to come to Medilodge because I am now able to be independent. I would like thank everyone at Medilodge for going above and beyond my expectations at all times.
Denise Chapman stood out the most to me with all the activities she organized to keep residents busy. She was always so helpful. MediLodge of Rogers City has such loving and caring staff. Along with a very clean building. Other staff members that stood out to me the most are: Trisha Wehzel, Shelby Wolgast and Alma Sutphen.
I chose MediLodge of Rogers City for my husband Walter for the friendly and caring center that it is, with expert care and how they care for their residents. Therapy and Nursing were excellent! CNA's were always at our needs to the best of their ability. Shelby, the Director of Resident advocacy and the Assistant Admission Coordinator here at MediLodge, was always up and beyond, coming in to answer questions of care and making corrections when needed.
I chose MediLodge of Rogers City because I had heard good comments from friends about this facility and to be close to my family. I found the CENA’s and nurses available to answer my questions and they were all so helpful. The Therapy Department was great and helped me in my recovery; the Activities Department always had crafts and activities that I was able to participate in and would brighten my day; the Housekeeping Department made sure that everything was neat and clean and kept the floors shiny. Marsha from the Social Work Department was wonderful!! I would certainly choose this facility again!
We chose MediLodge of Rogers City for our mother’s care because it has a great reputation and allows us to keep her close to home. The staff are always very helpful and explain every aspect – from her general health down to the paperwork. Alma and Lisa have been wonderful with her; always going over and above our expectations.
