We chose MediLodge of Rogers City for our mother’s care because it has a great reputation and allows us to keep her close to home. The staff are always very helpful and explain every aspect – from her general health down to the paperwork. Alma and Lisa have been wonderful with her; always going over and above our expectations.
I chose Medilodge of Rogers City because I had heard great things about the staff and they were truly GREAT! The nursing staff did everything they could possibly do to help me. The kitchen staff was very good. They made sure I received the food I needed as I am a Vegetarian and I know sometimes that can be tough and hard to please. The Therapy Department really “stood out”! They really made me work hard and were always at my side to be sure that I would not give up! I would definitely recommend this facility to others.
I chose MediLodge of Rogers City because I see the kindness the staff give their residents every day. I was treated very well by everyone. The therapy team was great. They explained all their treatment plans to me and assisted me in my recovery. It was hard work, but I made up my mind to do the best I could so I could return home as quickly as possible. A special ”thank you” to Tom from maintenance who assisted with getting me a TV, so I did not miss any Tiger games. You are all wonderful!
I would highly recommend this facility to my friends and family. The facility is always so clean and has very hard workers. Everyone on the staff has been very helpful and accommodating to my needs.
I never thought, in my entire life, that I'd think of "visiting a nursing home," as the highlight of my day. I've come to know many of the people there, residents and staff and I can honestly say that I rarely leave without a lifted spirit and a joy that isn't found anywhere else.
Last night, I visited my mom and on my way in and out (as usual) I stopped to speak/visit with several of the beautiful souls there. Including, (I'll call her) "Jenny." (Let me tell you that in the hundreds of times I've been there, I've never seen anyone come to visit "Jenny." Not once.)
Anyway, I noticed her in the hall sitting alone, and she called to me as I passed, as she often does. I turned around and went back to chat with her. (I call her "Sunshine") She wanted to know where I was going. 😌 I told her that I had just stopped to see my mom and she (Jenny) started to sing softly to me, smiling from ear to ear. I quickly looked around for the radio and not seeing it; I told her, "We need some music! And when I come back, we're gonna DANCE!" She's not able to walk, and it's quite obvious the years haven't been so kind to her. But, when I said that we'd dance, her eyes LIT UP with pure joy. ☀️ How I wish you could have seen them. I wish her FAMILY would have seen her face...that beautiful face.
So, that's my story. It's that simple. That's where you'll find true and unadulterated joy. Grace. In the "serving." In the forgotten ones. I'll never forget it. 💝
Denise Chapman stood out the most to me with all the activities she organized to keep residents busy. She was always so helpful. MediLodge of Rogers City has such loving and caring staff. Along with a very clean building. Other staff members that stood out to me the most are: Trisha Wehzel, Shelby Wolgast and Alma Sutphen.
I chose this center after fracturing my hip and had heard good things about this facility. Jeanie Crowles stood out the most to me because she was always there to help me when I needed it. But all of the staff is great! I will miss it here! The staff is caring and always so helpful. The kitchen staff was willing to work with what I like and the staff here has become family to me.
The reason I chose this center is because of a referral by the emergency room surgeon, and it's closer to home for me. The therapy department stood out and exceeded my expectation! Well educated in their field, they work with you to help meet your personal goals. This facility is extremely fortunate to have such top-notch employees in several departments.
Team members that stood out are the nurses (Ashley, Andree, Sue, Jessica, and KC) and the CNA's (Lorene and Sheila). They were all very caring, knowledgable and dedicated. Also, the PT and the OT staff were very patient, observant, and committed to my progress! I arrived here for physical therapy and skilled medical care, and now I am leaving healed and able to walk again. MediLodge should be a point of pride for Rogers City. I would come here again if needed!
The reason I chose this center is because it's close to my home! I heard good things about MediLodge; the employees and staff are very friendly. Everyone in all department and staff treated me very good and made my stay pleasant. Physical Therapy and Occupational therapy were very helpful, a joy to work with!
Set a goal for yourself and work hard to reach it. No one will get you well but yourself!
